Devops Team Leader

Genome is everything users need from the traditional banks, but safer, faster and completely online.

We are a Lithuanian-based Electronic Money Institution licensed by the Bank of Lithuania. Genome is a B2B/B2C EU-oriented company, which offers personal, business, and merchant account opening, payment processing, money exchange, internal, SEPA, and SWIFT transfers, as well as other banking operations completely online. Clients can manage all their funds and accounts within our smart dashboard, which is in a desktop version, or through an app on Android and iOS.

Genome is looking for a DevOps Team Lead !

Key Responsibilities

• leading and guiding the day-to-day work of the DevOps Team;
• ownership and responsibility for the DevOps architecture and technical leadership of the company infrastructure and environments;
• automation of infrastructure deployment and integration of releases into the cloud solution;
• implementation of monitoring solutions that proactively identify both system bottlenecks and production issues;
• optimization of system operation;
• managing, eliminating, and preventing incidents, problems, and service requests including implementation of workarounds and changes;
• applying the fundamental security design principles;
• participation in R&D;
• participation in the design/testing of DRP;
• support for ongoing projects;
• data backup and periodic check of their integrity;
• monitoring of networks, systems, etc.;
• audit of equipment, resources, address space, work with hosting sites.

Skills & Experience

• work experience as DevOps at least 5 years;
• experience in leading small teams at least 1 year;
• experience in building highly loaded, High Availability systems;
• excellent knowledge of Red Hat/CentOS;
• excellent knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, WAF, CloudWatch, VPC, EBS, Snapshots, SG, SSO, etc);
• experience in setting up and using container orchestration systems: Nomad, Kubernetes, ECS, MESOS, DCOS, Docker Swarm;
• experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) patterns, principles, and tools (Terraform, Puppet, etc);
• experience with service discovery: consul;
• experience in using Docker and understanding of the containerization paradigm;
• experience with Nginx, MySQL, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch;
• skills in working with DNS servers and DNS service providers;
• experience with data backup and recovery systems;
• good level of English language skills (spoken, written).
